Specification checklist
Specify material, finish, usable dimensions and packaging. For food-contact items, ask which compliance evidence is available.
Inspection questions
Look for sharp edges, finish consistency, breakage and accurate dimensions. Discuss sample approval before production.
Transport considerations
Light but bulky goods can cost more to move than their weight suggests; fragile items need agreed protective packing.
Look beyond the product price.
Confirm unit price, packaging, sample and inspection charges, freight, duties and taxes, and local delivery. Quantity, packed dimensions, material and required documentation can change the total. There is no universal duty rate or delivery promise.

Before asking for a quote
- What are the usable dimensions, not just the outside dimensions?
- Does the material need food-contact or other suitability evidence?
- Can items nest or flat-pack without damage?
